SCED 4200 Introduction! Wahoo!

My name is Cameron Gardner, I grew up in a town called Honeyville, which is only about 25 minutes west of Logan.  I have long desired to be a P.E. teacher at the high school level so I could be a basketball coach as well.  That is kind of my passion, (basketball) I grew up playing basketball all the time.  After my high school basketball career was over I thought my whole basketball career would be over. However, I was recruited to play at a Junior College in California.  After 1 year of school there transferred back to Utah to attend Utah State.  I joined the Men's Basketball team here at USU and had a lot of fun as a red shirt player here for 1 year.  the next year I accepted a full scholarship position to be a student manager for the team and that is what I have been doing for the past 3 years.
I love playing pretty much any sports. I love being active.  I love candy, my favorite kind are gummies (i.e. sour patch watermelons, gummy hamburgers, peachies) anything like that is amazing.  I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with my wife, which we have been married about 1 and 1/2 years, and hanging out with our dog.  I work at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Logan River Golf Course when I am not completely busy with the Basketball schedule.
As you can probably tell, my favorite class growing up was always P.E.. Another reason why I would love to be a teacher is because of the hours.  I would love to be a family man and be able to spent a lot of quality time with my family.  Between the two of those reasons, I think it sums up my reason for becoming a P.E. teacher.
My current definition of Literacy is not only being able to read and write, but also being able to understand.  I think we use literacy in many different ways every day of our lives. However, I do not feel like literacy really relates to my content area of P.E..
